2006 Squad

Today saw our last game for some of our boys who are moving on to pastures new, in the form of Pro-Youth. A proud day for parents, coaches and the club, sad to see them go but this is what we all do this for!!!

The four players moving on up are:-

HALDANE (Dundee Utd)
Lewis, a, top notch goalkeeper with fantastic agility, athleticism and vision, he has excellent passing ability and understanding of the game. A versatile player, he has shown great maturity, particularly when playing in midfield. We will miss our ‘Sweeper-Keeper’!

STIRTON (Dundee Utd)
Owen is a player with great skill and balance and has the confidence to take on any player (or Coach, for that matter!), proving to be a figurehead in any attacking formation, be it on the wing or as striker. A great finisher of the ball with both feet and scores goals for fun!

SMITH (Dundee)
Keegan is a tenacious, busy player with superb vision and a work rate that often appears to be double of that of the average player. A quiet lad on and off the pitch, he shows a selflessness to gift his teammates goal scoring opportunities. Always plays best with his ‘game-face’ on!

ROBB (Dundee Utd)
Derren is an energetic, hard working player who easily switches between striker and midfield, and brings great skill, awareness and strength to his game. Also a great finisher of the ball and a prolific goal scorer!

Their manager, Ewan Haldane said; Its been great coaching every kid in the team but seeing these guys move on to senior club academies is a joy. That is now six boys (these four, with Alex Balfour & Cole Guthrie last season), we have helped realise their dreams, plus we have a further two still training with Dundee United. To promote so many kids from one age group from a small town like Forfar is incredible. All the best to the boys that are leaving, you’ll all be missed greatly by all involved with Forfar BC 06
